so basically mindy’s a real life angel and i just need to cry on someone’s shoulder about how effing sweet she is.

we managed to get second row seats in the theater and we were freaking out really bad bc we would be about five? ten? feet (I still don’t understand america’s measurement system but i’m pretty sure that’s right…) from mindy and the rest of the cast during the Q&A.

anyway so then beth grant, ed weeks, adam pally and ike started coming into the theater and they filed into the row of seats TWO ROWS BEHIND US and they just sat there - again, two rows behind us - and then mindy came in and sat with them and holyshit i still can’t believe they were sitting among us?!?!? okay granted we were seated more to the right of our row and they were to the left of theirs bUT STILL.

anyway so they screened the final episode, did the Q&A, and everything was amazing. then the moderator said, if you guys wanna take photos and stuff, feel free to come up here, the cast will be sticking around for a bit. LIKE OHMYGOD. so then we ran up and i asked adam pally about hot sauce bc he OWES US A SHOW and he was so genuinely apologetic about it that i actually felt bad tbh. anyway we were cool buds so we took pictures and then we tried to get to mindy, who of course was being surrounded by a huge mob of people.

sweet sweet mindy was taking selfies with literally everyone (throwback to paleyfest day!!!) and we were actually worried that she’d leave before we were able to get to her but she was like, “don’t worry I’ll make sure everyone gets their photos and autographs and I’m not leaving before you do!” and she was basically like half an arm’s reach away from me and ohgod it was just surreal. then someone came and said, mindy we have to do this outside bc it’s too crowded in here (and it was, there were tons of people down at the stage area like it was craaazy). and mindy of course was the sweetest angel and she walked out with us to the area outside, took a few pictures with the cast, and returned to taking pictures with the fans. and ohmygod so the area outside had terrible lighting, and mindy was calling out for tracey and was like, “this place has terrible lighting! i just want you guys to be able to get good pictures! can we go some place with better lighting or get some better lights in here?” I SWEAR I WANTED TO CRY. she’s just the friggin SWEETEST okay like i can’t even.

so then we proceeded outside further and she resumed taking selfies with everyone and making really cute faces and everything it was just the best and the whole time she was less than a foot away from us like we could literally reach out and stroke her hair (not to sound creepier than i already do). so we eventually managed to get pictures with her and we were almost the last few so there weren’t a lot of people left. so then mindy was being ushered downstairs and then i called out to her (well she was again, right in front of me) and she turned around and i said, “mindy, before you leave, can I give you a hug?” and she said “of course!” and threw her arms around me and gave me a really tight hug and in that moment tears just welled up in my eyes but i couldn’t let her see i was about to cry so i tried to hold them back but ugh that was a beautiful five seconds that i never wanted to end. and then she pulled back and was like, “thank you so much” and again i wanted to fucking cry so bad.

and then we both went downstairs; she was on the escalator while we took the stairs next to the escalator and so we were basically by her side the entire time and it was so beautiful like i just love her so much and omg mindy thank you for being the way you are; never change bc you’re just about the sweetest person i’ve ever met and tonight i could truly say is one of the highlights of my life
